Dear me. August seems to be vacation month.
First my parents go out of town to California, then we venture to Roanoke. Meanwhile, I have to sit in that yard all the time because they are busy doing construction work on the attached house. Luckily, it's an interesting yard and there are many smells.
If all goes according to plan, I will soon be leaving my small Virginia cave and moving with my parents to the house up north.
It is not a large cave. Things sometimes get cramped.
There were times the heat refused to work (we had it fixed, never fear).
But it is a good cave. It is cozy and close to so many great walks--I have been able to go out on the town with my parents, to have college girls admire and pet me, without even having to get into the car. I killed my first Virginia squirrel in this neighborhood.
Besides, the color of the floors match my golden coat so well.
I will have to speak to my parents about refinishing the floors in our new house....
